How do I track when periodic inspections are due?2025-12-23T10:03:19-04:00

With the Smart Safety Pro lockout tagout app, program managers no longer need to manually track when periodic inspections are due. The software takes over tracking inspections and ensures that a period inspection is triggered every year.

The number of periodic inspections due is displayed at 30, 60, and 90 day intervals. This information is accessible via reporting, the web portal dashboard, and the periodic inspection workflow in the lockout tagout mobile app.

Is there version tracking included?2025-12-23T10:34:20-04:00

Anytime a lockout tagout procedure is unapproved, edited, and re-approved, it is assigned a new procedure ID number.

This offers version tracking when reviewing historical reports and makes it possible to see which lockout tagout procedure was used at any point in time.

What happens when a periodic inspection determines that changes to the procedure are required?2025-12-23T09:55:38-04:00

When it is necessary to change a procedure, the procedure can be unapproved and edited.

Changes can then be made to the existing procedure without having to start over. This includes editing image annotation and isolation steps.

After the changes are complete, the procedure is submitted for approval and assigned a new procedure ID number.

How do I return the machine to service?2025-12-23T10:32:40-04:00

When a machine is in a lockout or minor servicing status, scanning the procedure or energy source QR code launches the digital return-to-service process.

Using the same method as the lockout, the return-to-service steps are displayed one at a time on the screen and the authorized employee validates that each step is completed successfully.

When the return-to-service status is finalized, the real-time equipment status returns to operating.
