Whether or not an employee can perform a periodic inspection is determined by the permissions assigned within the software. An authorized employee must have the proper permission level assigned to access the periodic inspections workflow within the Smart Safety Pro lockout tagout app.

What happens when a periodic inspection determines that changes to the procedure are required?2024-11-08T02:17:59-04:00

When it is necessary to change a procedure, the procedure can be unapproved and edited. Changes can then be made to the existing procedure without having to start over. This includes editing image annotation and isolation steps. After the changes are complete, the procedure is submitted for approval and assigned a new procedure ID number.

No. The Smart Safety Pro lockout tagout app can be downloaded from the public app store onto any device running Android or iOS. It works on cell phones and tablets, and scans barcodes with the device’s camera. For companies with strict security requirements, the app should be installed on an enterprise grade mobile computer. This is a handheld device with an integrated laser scanner. It can be locked down to disable camera, bluetooth, WiFi, and any other prohibited feature. Intrinsically safe mobile computers are also available for performing lockout tagout operations in C1D1 or C2D2 flammable environments.

Our procedure copy feature allows a completed procedure to be copied for identical machines. This prevents the duplication of lockout tagout procedure writing work when a company has identical machines.
